Our Story

John Capponi, the Founder and President of Business Impact Group (BIG), started BIG with a simple vision: to help businesses grow and succeed. Drawing from his own experiences and the challenges he observed small businesses face, he was passionate about providing comprehensive consulting and coaching services to help clients achieve their full potential based on his years of trial and error, success, and failure.

With a background as a small business owner and trainer, John recognized the need for an effective coaching and consulting firm that could provide strategic insights and implement practical solutions to deliver real results. His journey began with Servpro, where he was a franchise owner and then a General Trainer, helping multiple franchise owners succeed. This progress continued with his role at Puroclean as Vice President of Operations, where he served as the President’s Liaison to top-producing franchises and coordinated the construction of the new training center and IICRC Demo Flood House. He then focused on a general construction and roofing company, completing work throughout the State of Florida.

John's passion has always been centered in training and mentoring, leading him to start his coaching and consulting company in 2010, focusing on the restoration industry. As BIG expanded, it broadened its services to better meet the needs of clients. The company now offers business diagnosis and assessments, strategic planning, and leadership solutions. BIG has worked with many businesses, helping them streamline operations, adopt new technologies, and grow their customer base. Along the way, BIG celebrated milestones like expanding into new industries, including restoration, construction, HVAC, landscaping, and other service companies.

To support continued growth, BIG added an associate, Luke Schepler, to the team. Luke brings expertise in organizational structure and process development, making him an invaluable addition. His skills have helped BIG better serve clients and meet the increasing demand for services.

Today, BIG offers a wide range of services designed to help businesses succeed. The growing team works with amazing clients who trust BIG to guide them through challenges and seize opportunities. Reflecting on the journey, John is proud of the achievements and deeply grateful to the team and clients. Their support has been crucial to BIG's success. About John

John Capponi is a recognized restoration, remediation, and reconstruction industry authority and business growth strategist who inspires, motivates, and encourages business owners to achieve their full potential with breakthrough strategies to grow and maintain exceptional profits.  

He has helped people from all walks of life create amazing results quickly and hit top ranks within their businesses and careers.    

John has owned and operated several successful restoration and construction businesses. As a coach, John is a behind-the-scenes, go-to marketing, lean operations, and leadership advisor for many businesses. His clientele are Who’s Who in the field of disaster restoration and reconstruction.

John began his business coaching career because his own business experiences led him to face and solve problems common to most restorers. Like so many business owners, John struggled with insufficient profits, personnel and customer problems, and way too much stress and too many sleepless nights. His dream of financial freedom was fading away in the midst of scores of operational challenges. 

As a result John dedicated himself to learning everything about business growth, profitability, and leadership in order to solve the challenges in his business. He developed a focused and manageable system to direct his business to scalability, which he now uses to coach other business owners toward their own success. John specializes in sales and marketing, operations, and leadership for small to medium-sized businesses. Over the years, John has developed a keen understanding of the complex issues facing restorers in the type of volatile economy we have today. 

About Luke

Luke Schepler is a process development consultant who specializes in helping small business owners systemize and develop effective processes in their companies. 

He enjoys helping business owners uncover their full potential through the use of actionable processes. Systemization is one of the primary ways a business owner can reduce their stress and increase their profits. 

He received his bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication from the University of Central Florida. Since graduating he has worked with multiple non-profits and family-owned businesses documenting and implementing their processes.
